I‘m not programmed to wake up at 7am every Saturday anymore just to watch cartoons, and I am glad I’m not. I had the chance to wake up early one Saturday morning and decided to check out what cartoons the television has to offer today’s youth. I didn’t expect it to be great, I mean lets face it, if you were a kid who grew up in the 90’s, we can easily talk for hours about how cool and awesome cartoon shows were. Heck, even the commercials in between were great…Anyway, back to that Saturday morning to which until today, I wished I continued counting sheeps. Remember when cartoons were showing in like 5 different channels and you can’t decide which one to watch? You no longer have an option but to leave it to one channel. YTV is the only channel that, well I guess, make the youths nowadays, happy. Global had some preaching show, Teletoon had some crap stuff, CBC had some weird antique stuff thing, and FOX, man oh man, one of my favorite channel, now plays infomercial from 8 am to noon. Pure disappointment. One show, to my suprise, is still on air, and made me smile and sad at the same time…Arthur is still showing on TVO, 1230pm. I remember watching this and loved it. I also remembered having a debate on what animal Arthur was. I thought he was a bear, but he is an ardvark. Everything went downhill in the early 2000. Everyone took advantage of “Reality Shows” and since then are so overrated. I admit, some are worth watching, some are just plain stupid. Then again, the kids who grew up on this era will possibly look back and claim that 2000’s was the best. Meh, I doubt it. 90’s will always be the happiest time of my life. Movies too! But I’ll save that for another entry.

There was a 30 minute long tribute to 90’s cartoon intros on youtube before, but someone took it down.  I found a top 100 animated series. Here’s 100 to 91. I miss you 90’s:
